Where it all began

Our Story

Pete and Jess are a husband-and-wife team of physiotherapists. They met and trained at Coventry University, qualifying in 2011. They moved to Dorset to pursue their physiotherapy careers, Pete working in the private musculoskeletal sector and Jess within the NHS. But having their own physiotherapy clinic was always their long-term goal.

Together, they have a vast and varied experience across all areas of physiotherapy. In 2021 after 10 years in Dorset, Pete, Jess and their children moved back to Warwickshire to be nearer to family and pursue the goal to set up their own practice, and so Evolution-Physio was born.

Consultant Physiotherapist

Pete played Rugby to a high level and, after witnessing injuries, was keen to understand how to restore optimum function. Following completion of his Medical Biochemistry degree, Pete trained as a Physiotherapist, qualifying in 2011 and specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He has always worked in the private sector with insurance referrals, private clients, athletes, and celebrities. He progressed to Clinical Lead, Clinical Trainer, Consultant Physiotherapist, and Regional Lead positions for large national physiotherapy companies, most recently working as a First Contact Practitioner and providing physiotherapy at Warwick School.

Pete has completed several courses, widening his knowledge and skill set, including Sports and Remedial Massage, Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine, Osteopathic courses, Acupuncture, and Injection Therapy. He has a keen interest in biomechanics. With 13 years of experience, Pete is incredibly knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does. He genuinely wants every client to achieve their goals, whether that is being able to return to their optimum fitness for sport or being able to live their life pain-free.

In his spare time, Pete enjoys family time, going on long dog walks, and watching the Rugby (when he is finally allowed to turn off Peppa Pig!).

Jess used to play football to a high level and after being injured many times, she was inspired to train as a physiotherapist. Jess qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2011 from Coventry University but her training sparked an interest away from sports and musculoskeletal and into the cardiorespiratory side of physiotherapy.

Jess specialises in chronic lung conditions and has worked in the NHS across several areas including critical care, medical wards, admission avoidance and early supported discharge, and most recently pulmonary and heart failure rehab.

Whilst Jess isn’t working in a clinical capacity in Evolution-Physio currently, she is leading on all the admin side, and being a Physiotherapist with over 13 year’s experience, means she knows what is needed to be done to keep Evolution-Physio, and Pete, in check! In her spare time, Jess chases after her 2 energetic children and dog, enjoys watching box sets and films (when she can stay awake) and loves to go to Dorset’s wonderful beaches.
